Brief:

Our client wanted to understand the market landscape and demand for refractory manufacturing as well as an in-depth analysis of key competitors. The purpose of the project was to create a detailed roadmap for vaulting the competition and winning in a highly competitive market.

Using a combination of contacts provided by the client, as well as a number of additional contacts identified by our team, our consultants held a large number of detailed interviews. The study estimated demand by volumes and expected growth rates and identified the characteristics of demand by segment. Additionally, our consultants identified demand and supply balance for refractory products by specification in the selected countries. The competitor analysis reported in detail on current strategies and business models and identified sales practices and products offered in local markets.

Result:

Our analysis enabled the client to understand in more depth their positioning in the market along with their competitors positions. The client was able to create a fact driven road map for planning targets to gain shares in key product segments and gain a foothold over their competitors.
