Adil Husain is the Founder and Managing Director of Emerging Strategy – the leading provider of customized market intelligence services across global emerging markets. Adil is responsible for managing the firm’s strategy, senior client & partner relationships, and developing and growing new lines of business. During his career, he has led business strategy consulting engagements for Global 2000 companies across multiple industries, including some of the most recognizable and admired global corporations.

Adil and the firm have been cited in major business newspapers including the Wall Street Journal. He speaks to select audiences and writes op-eds as well as appears on television and radio to comment on topics related to the business environment for multinational companies in Asia/China, the discipline of market intelligence, and entrepreneurship. He is a graduate of Middlebury College and a former Fellow at the Center for Politics and Commercial Diplomacy (Washington DC) and a former Fellow at the Salzburg Global Seminar (Austria). He divides much of his time between China, the U.S. and Brazil.

Marc Litvinoff is the Managing Partner at Global Strategy Group, a leading public affairs, communications and research company. Marc is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the firm, including go-to-market strategy, technology, talent and finance. Prior to joining full time, he served as a GSG board member. Previously, Marc served as Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ORC International, a global market research firm. In July 2011, he led a successful management buyout of ORC from Infogroup in partnership with Lake Capital with the objective of creating a platform to accelerate the company’s global growth initiatives.

Marc also served as Chief Executive Officer of Guideline, a business and market research company. He led the sale of the company to InfoUSA in August 2007. Prior to Guideline, Marc was the Chief Executive Officer of RHK, an advisory and research services provider. He also served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Knowledge Networks, a market intelligence and research company. Marc had a distinguished career with Gartner Inc. holding multiple positions, including Senior Vice President of Gartner’s Technology Provider Group and Group Vice President/Worldwide Director for Dataquest. Additionally, he directed Gartner’s research as it applied to small and medium-sized organizations and the higher education marketplace, fulfillment of the newsletter business, and was Research Director for the PC services’ desktop hardware and peripheral research.

Marc’s career also includes positions with ADP, MONY Financial Services (formerly Mutual of New York) and The Dreyfus Corporation. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, and Investments from Hofstra University, New York.

Marc is an avid photographer and traveler, having been to all 50 states and over 60 countries. In his free time he is usually off looking for the perfect shot.

Daniel has a quarter century of experience in cross-border risk management. Though global in orientation, he has particular geographical expertise in Asia and Latin America. He has worked for some of the best known and most prestigious organizations in the private and public sectors (AIG, GE, the Asian Development Bank and World Bank Group) and is considered an authority on country risk analysis. Since 2009, Daniel has run Country Risk Solutions, a U.S.-based boutique consulting firm specializing in country risk analysis, pre-investment due diligence and political risk insurance. He is widely published, with two books and 350+ articles on current affairs and risk management.

Adjudged one of the world’s leading frontier markets analysts, and voted among the ‘Top 30 under 30 Analysts’ by New York’s Institutional Investor Magazine in 2006, Sebastian helped establish the multimillion dollar Africa risk research practice at leading global political risk consultancy firm, Eurasia Group. Sebastian has also acted as head of the energy unit within Thompson Financial’s Capital Markets Group in New York and has advised UK Prime Minister Tony Blair’s Commission on Africa. Sebastian currently acts as the Managing Director of DaMina Advisors, providing advisory services to international firms operating in Sub-Saharan Africa’s oil, gas, mining and financial services sectors.
